Things I'm Loving {May 2017}
Hey friends! I realize I've been a little absent recently- job searching is much more time-consuming than I remembered! I'm doing ok, keeping the faith and trusting God in this up and down journey of seeking and waiting. I've had a lot of reassurance and reminders recently, so He is definitely on the move. He's always on the move.
In the meantime, I'm still taking some time to share what I've been loving this month of May! (Because we always need something to be happy about) :)
1. Getting to know Justin's parents
Say whaaattt?! Yes, they've been here (from Australia!) for two weeks and they leave on May 22nd. This week is their last week here. It's definitely a "big step" in a couple's relationship- getting to know the family- but, guys, it's been wonderful! I'm delighted to spend time with them, learn more about them and Aussie ways, and even to get a little sneak peek at what a potential future with his family could be like; vacations, holidays, etc. We've gotten up to all sorts of stuff, and they even met Kelly last week!
Plus, since they've been here I've had way more home-cooked meals and cups of tea than recent memory! :)
2. Blueberry Lavender Smoothies
No explanation required, y'all. Run, do not walk, to Purdy's and go get yourself one. Your tummy and taste buds will thank you!
3. "Starlight"
I've had Bethel Music's new album nearly on repeat since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Powerful, beautiful, worshipful songs that get you in the right mindset of closeness with the Lord. "There's No Other Name", "King of my Heart", and "Catch the Wind" are probably my favorites, although every song brings something wonderful. You can stream it on YouTube or download it from iTunes.
4. Support!
These past couple of weeks have been, although hard at times, so much better than I could have imagined. My co-workers, my family, and my friends have wrapped me in so much love and encouragement that it's been soothing to my soul. I'm starting to see the purpose in this season of life and I am confident in God's timing for whatever He has next for me (But dontcha just wish sometimes you'd get a little hint at what's to come?) At any rate, time will tell. Please keep me in your prayers, though, because they do mean so very much to me.
What's making you smile this month?
