Gratitude Lately (Or trying to remember "The Little Things")

I like lists! My often running-a-mile-a-minute brain likes them too.

This list, though, is serving a different purpose, and I hope to continue making more of them in this blogging space. Because in the hardships, stress, difficulty, and darkness of life, it's a breath of fresh air to remember the simplicity, joy, and light that comes along with the "little things" of life.  Here's a few that I am thankful for:

  • A warm and comfy bed...Although that makes for difficulty waking up in the mornings sometimes :)
  • Homemade muffins!
  • The rediscovery of the joy of cooking a homemade meal. J and I are slowly finding a new favorite in curries
  • The Greatest Showman soundtrack. Y'all, you NEED to see that movie if you haven't yet. It is phenomenal! The soundtrack is spectacular, and I have many favorites, but one of mine is below

  • Phone calls to Boston to hear about my kick butt twin and her awesome career in travel nursing!
  • Being able to watch the 2018 Winter Olympics! Seriously-- how awesome was Mirai Nagasu's triple axel?
  • Leftover Hershey kisses from the wedding!
  • Kitties that do something at least once a day to make me laugh out loud. Look at this big fluffy stinker just chilling on the stairs..."What? I always lounge this way."

  • Lunch dates with my bestie!
  • A new community we've found ourselves a part of consisting of married couples that possess extraordinary authenticity, knowledge of the word of God, and support through prayers and sound wisdom. An unexpected blessing! :)

What little things are you savoring recently?
