The start of summertime

Do you hear that? Hear what? Exactly...! Yep, it's definitely summertime here on campus, because there is hardly a student in sight and all of campus is still and quiet. This is my first full summer working and so far it has been enjoyable....Aside from the earlier start time, which requires an earlier wake-up time. Which, if you've known me for longer than five minutes, you know that I am a girl who likes her sleep. But I'm making it work 😋 The days seem to go by quickly and even though some have been less productive than a typical semester day, there is always something going on!

No rest for the weary in terms of school, because my summer class (one of them) starts on Monday and I just wrapped up my spring semester on the 7th. With STRAIGHT A'S!!! Pretty happy about that! God has been so faithful. He knew I would be in this job at this time in my life for graduate school to work out now versus any other time. Heck, even last spring, when I applied and got denied. So anyway, all is going well there, although I think I'll have my work cut out a bit this summer...even just reading through the schedule and calendar there is quite a bit of reading...

We don't have any extravagant vacations planned and that's okay. Hopefully a short trip to Boston is in the cards sometime this summer (just wish flying wasn't so darn expensive). Our book club will be taking a break in the next couple of weeks, as one of the couples is moving onto greener pastures in Maryland.

Life is good. We've been sick combined going on 2+ weeks now so there have been a lot of quiet evenings binging on Bones and being lazy. But life is good. Summertime is good. I think I am going to like it very much!
