Things I'm Loving {June 2017}
It's that time again!!! Yay! Hop on over to my dear friend Camille's blog for more inspiration! She's been a pro at this for ages!
1. Wedding Planning! (Specifically OneNote)
In case you missed the memo, Imma gettin' married!!!! :) The big day is nearly six months away- exactly- and we have tried to get all of the "big" things sorted out well in advance. Surprisingly, those are coming together! Or maybe not surprisingly, because you will certainly NOT find a Bridezilla here! Seriously, we're having fun, and it always struck me whenever I would hear my married friends comment on how planning was/is stressful, and how they were glad when the wedding was over. Really? Like I said...we're having FUN!!!
And Microsoft OneNote has been a godsend! Justin and I are able to share notes, attach entire documents and websites, and see real-time changes made to our wedding "notebook". Plus it's freeeeeeee.
2. Sleep!
Being in between jobs of sorts and waiting to hear back on jobs that I've had interviews on is, as I described to Kelly earlier, sometimes lonely and unfulfilling. As in, you wish you could do more.
However, one positive to this period of waiting is not only the liberty to essentially stay up as late as I want, but also to sleep in! Some habits are hard to break though...most mornings I'm wide awake before 9. Oh well...Just means more time for fresh coffee :)
And friends, just a quick side note: Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and prayers I have received these past two weeks. Please keep praying; I have 3 potentially wonderful jobs that I am waiting to hear back about.
3. On a related note...Actually being able to do stuff during the week!
Breakfast at Purdy's? Check! Grocery shopping at 1:00 instead of after work? Check! A run at Lake Reba? Check! Starting to cook dinner at 5:00? Check! Laundry on a Tuesday? Check! Phone call with Kelly at 10:30am? Check!
Ok...I think y'all get the idea! And I'm certainly trying not to get used to this, but a little break in routine is actually not all that bad.
4. Meijer
After an impromptu trip to Lexington last week (on a Wednesday!) I stopped by Meijer to do my food shopping. Holy smokes! Fresh artichokes for $1 each! Asparagus for $1.99/lb! A frozen seafood medley of shrimp, clams, and calamari to be used for pasta or rice!!!! Salmon for $4.99/bag (Kroger charges nearly 3 times that).
Some wonderful lunches and dinners await me :)
